Freemason In Malay State

Freemasonry is a fraternal society that was founded in england in the early 1700's. the membersihp requirement included being male and believing in a supreme being. most of its members were from the ruling class as another requirement was that the person be free - as opposed to being a slave.it was a secret society which somehow evolved to being a society of secrets. its members are famously loyal to each other and will protect its members.contrary to popular belief it is not a semitic or zionist society.
So we learn at the very outset in our Masonic career that indeed from the very beginning Freemasonry has enjoyed the patronage of Monarchs. This is particularly true in the
United Kingdom where a whole string of Royal Princes who were members of the Craft succeeded to the Throne. They were
King George IV, King William IV, King Edward VII, King Edward VIII and King George VI.
What is not commonly known is that in Malaysia Freemasonry has existed for 150 years.
Freemasonry has also enjoyed the
patronage of the Malay Rulers or Sultans from as early as 1906 to the present time.
